PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection method of a pipe to a manhole capable of laying the pipe in a short tome even in a state that water flows in. SOLUTION: The connection method of a pipe to a manhole is constituted of a process in which a rubber ring 2 is attached into a collar 14 fixed to pierce a manhole cover, a process in which the other end of a unit pipe 3 having a socket 31 or an insert opening, to one end of which a drain pipe or a sewer pipe is connected, is pulled in so as to slide on the rubber ring 2 fitted in the collar 14 to projectingly overhang the manhole 1, a process in which the drain pipe or the sewer pipe is laid, and a process in which the unit pipe 3 is transferred toward the drain pipe 5 or the sewer pipe so as to slide on the rubber ring 2 and the unit pipe 3 and the manhole side end of the drain pipe 5 or the sewer pipe are connected to each other to be insertable/acceptable.
