PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an E-mail/facsimile communication system and its method for previewing a facsimile transmission image and to provide a recording medium for recording a program code to perform the method. SOLUTION: The system for exchanging E-mails by facsimile communication via a network comprises a client 2 connected to the network and a gate way means 6 for transmitting the facsimile transmission image to a facsimile machine 5 through a telephone line 4. The gate way means 6 converts the E-mail transmitted from the client 2 into the facsimile transmission image, generates the E-mail comprising the facsimile transmission image before transmission to the facsimile machine 5 and returns it to the client 2.
