PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed speaker diaphragm edge material, and its producing method, exhibiting excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, moisture resistance, durability against high volume, appearance insusceptible to surface whitening, and recycling properties and ensuring good sound quality over a long term even under a severe environment, e.g. inside of an automobile. SOLUTION: A compound of rubber and resin comprising an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer, a styrene based thermoplastic elastomer, and ethyleneα-olefin copolymer is fusion kneaded and foamed simultaneously by an extruder 11, rolled into plate shape by means of a die (T die) 12 and then drawn by means of a nip roll 21 thus obtaining a sheet-like foamed molding. Since a skin is fixed to the surface, the sheet-like foamed molding can be vacuum shaped easily. An edge-like foamed speaker diaphragm edge material obtained by shaping the sheet-like foamed molding through a vacuum shaping machine is lightweight, exhibits good sound quality and has strength durable against high volume.
