PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a conjugate fiber having a high yield in a production process of conjugate fiber, excellent processing characteristics and adhesiveness in a production of nonwoven fabric, improved feeling (softness) and excellent performances, and a nonwoven fabric comprising the conjugate fiber. SOLUTION: The conjugate fiber comprises at least two components of one component A composed of a polyhexamethylene adipamide polymer and the other component B composed of a polyamide polymer and satisfies the following conditions of number of crimps of >=5 peaks/25 mm and <=25 peaks/25 mm, degree of crimp of >=8% and <=30%, dry strength of >=3 cN/dtex and <=8 cN/ dtex, dry elongation of >=20% and <=170% and fiber length of >=20 mm and <=115 mm.
