PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, an image forming method and an image forming system capable of efficiently forming an image by a simple composition using three or more image forming devices. SOLUTION: In this image forming system with three or more mutually connected image forming devices 10, 20, and 30, an image forming device has a tandem function processing a job in tandem by connection with another image forming device as a main machine and a sub machine and an allocation recovery function undertaking a job of the other device when its own allocated job is finished. It is characterized by that the image forming devices have control parts 11, 21, and 31 composed so as to respectively set a sub machine A when one is a main machine and a main machine B when one is a sub machine. If A and B do not match when one receives a job as a sub machine, a control part divides the received job, leaves a part of it as a normal job, and automatically generates and registers the rest as a reserved tandem job.
