PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross flow air blower capable of sending sufficient air amount even in a limited design space while improving blower efficiency and reducing noise. SOLUTION: The cross flow air blower for passing through and accelerating fluid F in a flow passage P is provided with a cylindrical impeller 10 supported rotatably by a shaft in the flow passage P, plural blades 11 provided on an outer circumference part of the impeller 10 and a motor rotatively driving the impellor 10. The impeller 10 has nearly D-shaped section to form a straight part 10a in a suction side of the fluid F. Each blade 11 has positive blade angles to a travelling direction at the straight part 10a.
