PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally constructs a building having an exterior insulation construction. SOLUTION: This is an exterior thermal insulation method for constructing a concrete building with an exterior insulated construction for which an insulation material is applied to the exterior surface side of the building frame; as an exterior formwork for forming a building frame, a placed formwork 2 made of a bubble concrete slab is adopted, and the building frame is formed by uniting the placed formwork 2 as an exterior material also working as insulation. As the exterior formwork for forming a beam 1 and a column, the placed formwork 2 made of a bubble concrete slab is adopted, the exterior wall 3 is formed by the bubble concrete slab functioning as an insulation member, and the exterior wall surface is formed by jointing together both the bubble concrete slab as the placed formwork 2 for the beam 1 and column and the bubble concrete slab as the exterior wall 3.
