PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leather-like sheet which can always generate stable negative ions at the stationary state with no force from outside. SOLUTION: A fibrous base material 11 is coated or impregnated with a synthetic resin composition including powdery ores free from rare earth elements and a tourmaline powder and the resin composition is solidified to prepare a synthetic resin layer 13. The effect of negative ion formation of the tourmaline powder is increased by the powder of the ores including no rare earth elements whereby the negative ions are always formed stably to maintain the number of the negative ions distributing on the surface of a leather-like sheet 10 at a level of 500 ions/cc.
