PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide contention-free quality of service to a wireless station. SOLUTION: A station indicates an access point that data of high priority (such as time constrained data) are scheduled to be transmitted to the access point. The access point receives the indication and selects a slot time for the station on the basis of the number of the other stations including the indicated high-quality data. The slot time is selected such that the station can check for access to a common wireless link before any arbitrary station including low-priority data (data without time constraints). The access point transmits the selected slot time to the station, and the station receives the slot time. When an instruction indicating that an application includes high-priority data to transmit is received, the station checks the common radio link for availability at the selected slot time.
