<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a photographed image can be insufficient as an evidence that the photographed vehicle is fraudulent since it is normally impossible to determine from the photographed image whether the photographed vehicle actually committed a wrongdoing or whether the vehicle has paid a toll fare duly simply by photographing the fraudulent vehicle as it passes through a vehicle detector, when the fraudulent vehicle that has not paid the toll fare is photographed in an automatic fee collection system. <P>SOLUTION: The fraudulent vehicle detection device is composed so that it turns a lane entry blocking bar into a closed state for a vehicle that does not pay a toll fare and warns the driver that the driver is not allowed to enter the lane. In case the vehicle should try to run through the entry blocking bar and enter the lane, the detection device takes a photograph of the vehicle at the moment it forces its way through the entry blocking bar, and makes the photograph serve as an evidence that the photographed vehicle is a fraudulent vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
