PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foliar-surface spraying agent which is an aqueous solution derived from a protein, a saccharide and a magnesium salt, enhancing productivity of field crops such as an improvement in yield and promotion of enlargement, simultaneously reducing nitric acid remaining in plant bodies and further increasing an antioxidizing activity at the same time and to provide a method for producing the agent. SOLUTION: Problems are solved by spraying the foliar-surface spraying agent for promoting metabolism of plants prepared by saturating and dissolving a metal salt such as the magnesium salt or a calcium salt in an aqueous solution of a saccharide-fermented organic acid rich in peptide nitrogen produced by a method A for preparation which is carried out as follows. An amino acid source such as albumen, powdered milk, beans or blood powder at a prescribed concentration is made to exist with an aqueous solution of the saccharide. During the dissolution, a protein scarcely dissolving in pure water is dissolved in a prescribed amount of salt water such as seawater under stirring and warming. The aqueous solution of the saccharide containing a large amount of the protein is fermented with a yeast fungus to provide the aqueous solution of the organic acid as a mother liquor. The magnesium salt or calcium salt (3-4 wt.% of Mg concentration or 5-6 wt.% of Ca concentration) is dissolved in the mother liquor and a prescribed amount of vinegar is added.
