PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structure for closing a gap portion around the car door of an elevator capable of not only closing the gap portion around the car door but also obtaining an effect of sound insulation and capable of lowering noises in opening and closing of the car door. SOLUTION: A movable element 11 is movably provided above the car door 3 in the direction of closing the gap portion between the car door and a doorsill 1. A sound absorbing material 12 is provided on the movable element. The movable element is attached via a linkage 13 to a guide mechanism 16 for applying operation force in the direction of closing the gap portion. The doorsill 1 is provided with a guide groove 2 for guiding the guide mechanism so that the movable element is moved in the direction of closing the gap portion when the car door is moved to a close position.
