PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil feeder for an elevator capable of preventing lubricating oil from being scattered around when a liquid application member applies too much lubricating oil to a guide rail by quickly removing the surplus oil and capable of restraining wasteful consumption of the lubricating oil to reduce the number of refiling times of the lubricating oil into an oil tank. SOLUTION: An elevator car 1 is provided with the oil feeder for an elevator for applying the lubricating oil to its guide rail 6. The oil feeder comprises the oil tank 11 for housing the lubricating oil, the liquid application member 15 provided in the oil tank 11 with one part immersed in the lubricating oil and the other part contacting the guide rail 6 to apply the lubricating oil to the guide rail 6, and wiping-out members 21, 22 provided in the oil tank 11 with one part contacting the guide rail 6 and having functions for wiping out the surplus lubricating oil applied to the guide rail 6 by the liquid application member 15 and returning the surplus of the wiped lubricating oil into the oil tank 11.
