<p>A multi-axis machine tool presents a gantry (2) positioned over a bed (3) equipped with a machining station (4) in which to position a workpiece (100), a moving beam (8) associated slidably with the gantry (2), aligned on a horizontal direction (X) and translatable in a vertical direction (Z), a carriage (9) associated slidably with the moving beam (8) and traversable in the horizontal direction (X), and a tool holder (10) mounted to the carriage (9). The tool holder (10) is mounted direct to the carriage (9), making no use of quills or telescopic arms, with freedom to rotate relative to the carriage about two positioning axes (C, D).</p> |
