An apparatus for automatically controlling a stitch cam up and down for a sock knitting machine is provided to control arbitrarily the height of the stitch cam electronically and freely. A cam block is fixed to a cam plate. A stitch cam(30) is assembled at the cam block up and down movably and receives the elasticity of a spring. A lever(40) is assembled to the cam block by a hinge(41) and moves the stitch cam up and down. A forward and backward motor(50) and a zero point sensor(60) are installed at the cam plate, respectively. A screw bar(70) is installed at the shaft of the forward and backward motor and driven forward and backward. A control bar(80) is screwed movably to the screw bar up and down and moves the rear end of the lever up and down. A sensor sensing piece(90) is combined to an end of the control bar by the height controllable type and located oppositely to the zero point sensor. |
