PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bubble size determination device capable of detecting a size of a bubble present in a fluid that flows in a channel, and to provide a maintenance device and a fluid jet apparatus. SOLUTION: The bubble size determination device determines whether or not the bubble B present in an ink that flows towards a nozzle opening 34A of a recording head 30 within a feed needle 23 and a communication channel 22 is not smaller than a preliminarily set bubble limit size. The bubble size determination device is equipped with a filter 27 which captures bubbles included in the ink that flows in the feed needle 23, a pressure sensor 40 for detecting a negative pressure in a reservoir 32 that communicates with the communication channel 22, and a controller which detects the negative pressure in the reservoir 32 on the basis of a signal from the pressure sensor 40. The controller determines that the size of the bubble B is not smaller than the bubble limit size when an absolute value of the detected negative pressure in the reservoir 32 exceeds a pressure threshold value.
