PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a person attribute discrimination device capable of enhancing a discrimination rate without increasing the number of sheets of photographic images to be prepared. SOLUTION: This person attribute discrimination device 10 is provided with: a camera 12; an image capture device 14 for capturing a positive photographic image from the image of a person photographed by the camera 12; a right and left inversion part 18 for generating an inverted photographic image by inverting the positive photographic image right and left; a face detection part 20 for detecting a region where the face of the person is projected as a face image from the positive photographic image and the inverted photographic image; a face image extraction part 22 for extracting the detected face image; a front face likelihood calculation part 24 for calculating front face likelihood based on the extracted face image; a front face selection part 28 for selecting the high order F number of sheets of face images whose front face likelihood is high from the extracted face image; and an attribute decision part 30 for deciding the attributes (sex and age) of the person based on the selected face image.
