<p>The invention relates to a lumbotomy device allowing the abdominal incision and the concomitant electrocoagulation of the bleeding vessels, the claimed device comprising a cylinder-shaped metal sheath (1) with a groove (a) cut inside, while outside, at one end, the sheath (1) has a semicircular active element (2) connected to a socket (4) by means of some insulated electric conductors (3) arranged along the external part of the metal sheath (1), wherefrom, by means of an electric conductor (5), the active element (2) is supplied with high frequency current from an electric source (6), so that the active element (2) concomitantly achieves the abdominal tissue incision and the coagulation of the bleeding vessels, due to the high frequency current to which the active element is connected.</p> |
