PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and inexpensive soundproof device excellent in attachment/detachment workability and sound insulating properties, and working equipment equipped with the soundproof device. SOLUTION: A cylindrical heat-insulating cover 32 is attached in such a manner as to cover a sleeve 102 for connecting a shank rod 101 of a drifter and a rod 112 with a working bit 111. A soundproof cover 31 like an accordion pipe formed of a sheet-like material with flexibility is attached in such a manner as to cover the periphery of the heat-insulating cover 32 and the rod 112. High heat generated from the sleeve 102 is shut off by the heat-insulating cover 32, and the soundproof cover 31 is prevented from being damaged by heat. Since the heat-insulating cover 32 can be detached separately from the soundproof cover 31, the heat-insulating cover 32 has only to be replaced when deteriorated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
