PURPOSE:To obtain a base wood plate for KAMABOKO (BOILET FISH PASTE) in which the cut end of the plate is treated with a vinyl acetate emulsion, thus the foam formation in KAMABOKO is prevented and there occurs no crack on the cut end, even when KAMABOKO on the plate is stored for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:For example, a timber is cut into strip pieces having the length of KAMABOKO and the strip pieces are treated with a mixture of 1 pt.wt. of a vinyl acetate emulsion and 4 pts.wt. of water at their cut ends 5' by coating, spraying or dipping and dried with hot air at about 300 deg.C for some 2 minutes to give these KAMABOKO plates. |
