PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-diffusive agent having high brightness and scratch resistance equivalent to or greater than those of conventional butyl acrylate copolymers and excellent in light-diffusive performance. SOLUTION: The light-diffusive agent consists of microparticles of a crosslinked vinyl copolymer obtained by polymerizing a vinyl monomer mixture comprising (a) monofunctional vinyl monomers, copolymerizable vinyl monomers including at least 5 wt.% of n- or t-butyl (meth)acrylate, with a total Tg of -30 to 80°C and (b) 1-50 wt.%, based on the monofunctional vinyl monomers (a), of a crosslinkable vinyl monomer.
