The adaptive equalization circuit for detecting GMSK synchronization comprises a delay unit for delaying a reception signal by a predetermined time; a reference setting unit for generating a reference signal; a compensating unit for compensating the distortion of the delayed signal on the basis of the reference signal; an error information generating unit for detecting the difference between the compensated signal and the reference signal and generating an error information; a tap gain renewing unit for generating a tap gain information on the basis of the error information; a timing control unit for generating a timing signal to the delay unit, compensating unit and error information generating unit; and a frame synchronization information generating unit for generating frame synchronization information.
