Disclosed is a secondary battery which forms a mounting protrusion on a side of a cap plate and a mounting groove corresponding to the mounting protrusion on an inner surface of a case to improve a mounting force between the case and the cap plate and improve stability. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly; a case to accommodate the electrode assembly; and a cap plate mounted on an opening part of the case. A mounting protrusion protrudes from a side of the cap plate towards an inner surface of the case, and a mounting groove is formed on the inner surface of the case corresponding to the mounting protrusion. |
