Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for processing an image. According to the present invention, the method determines whether stereoscopic entities are arranged in the same horizontal line, wherein the stereoscopic entities correspond to each other and are included in an image pair. If the stereoscopic entities are not arranged in the same horizontal line, the method determines whether a target object is included in the image pair, wherein the target object has a geometric property different from the stereoscopic entities. If the target entity is included in the image pair, the method may perform different image processing processes to each of the target entity and the stereoscopic entities. According to the present invention, image processing may be performed in real time with the substantially reduced calculation amount. |
