METHOD OF PRODUCING HIGH-PRECISION SUPPORT SURFACES FOR MATERIALS TO BE EXPOSED TO LIGHT

The invention concerns a method of producing high-precision support surfaces for materials to be exposed to light in reproduction equipment. The method calls for a moulding tool (1) to be manufactured which has the correct high-precision support surface (3) for the light-sensitive material. A component (2) designed to be given the support surface is prefabricated in such a way that it can hold the moulding tool with the interposition of an air gap between the component and the tool. The tool and component are positioned relative to each other, maintaining the air gap, in such a way that the subsequent position of the support surface is determined by the position of the outside surface of the moulding tool with respect to the prefabricated component. The air gap is filled with moulding compound (4). Following hardening of the moulding compound, the moulding tool is removed.
