Disclosed are a medical information providing system and a controlling method thereof capable of providing information such as multimedia, hospital information, medical treatment information, a medical treatment schedule, etc. to a patient terminal positioned in a bed of a patient; and improving patient convenience. The medical information providing system comprises: the patient terminal which is positioned in the bed of the patient in a hospital, and outputs the multimedia; a hospital work inputting terminal which inputs and outputs patient information to manage and treat the patient; a hospital managing server which stores the patient information and treatment history information which are inputted and transmitted in the hospital work inputting terminal, and provides the patient information, the treatment history information, and the hospital information to the patient terminal in response to a request of the patient terminal; and a manager server which compulsorily controls the patient terminal in response to a request of the hospital work inputting terminal. |
