PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaper production method including a printing process without deterioration of product appearance in inkjet printing of patterns.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper production method includes a printing process in which a pattern group including plural sets of different patterns is printed repeatedly by inkjet printing on a web travelling in a machine direction. In the printing process, individual patterns included in the pattern group are printed in turn in a plurality of printing areas. The width of each of the plurality of printing areas is equal to the dimension of a long side or short side of a planar surface obtained by expanding a diaper. A first blank area extending in a cross direction orthogonal to the machine direction across the web is arranged at least in one of the first printing area, in which patterns are printed at first, and the last printing area, in which patterns are printed at last, among the plurality of printing areas. Inkjet printing is suspended in the first blank area, followed by restarting the inkjet printing to print the pattern group sequentially.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
