PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce confusion felt by a user, when displaying a three-dimensional map by combining plural map models in which reproduction accuracy of appearance of features is different.SOLUTION: A definition model having high reproduction accuracy of appearance, and a simple model having low reproduction accuracy of appearance are prepared as map databases. In the vicinity of a cross point, a three-dimensional map can be displayed by only the definition model. When the three-dimensional map is displayed, a range in which the three-dimensional map should be displayed by only the definition model, is set in the vicinity of the cross point, in the range, the map is drawn by the definition model, and outside of the range, the map is drawn by the simple model. By such a configuration, a space in which the definition model is used and a space in which the simple model is used are identified clearly, thereby a user can easily recognize appearance accuracy of the three-dimensional map, and understand a display content of the three-dimensional map, without confusion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
