PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a possibility that a direction determination performance decreases due to noise in a chromatic aberration type focus lens driving direction determination operation, and to perform a focus adjustment in high speed.SOLUTION: A control method of a focus adjustment device has: a mixture step of mixing an output signal obtained from an image pick up element for each of a plurality of colors; a setting step of setting a number of mixtures in the mixture step for each of the plurality of colors; a calculation step of extracting a specific frequency component of the mixed signals for each of the plurality of colors obtained by the mixture step, and computing a focus evaluation value for each of the plurality of colors; and a determination step of determining a lens driving direction in accordance with the focus evaluation value for each of the plurality of colors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
