PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower structure for an automobile that can suppress a decline in lift force generated at a position anterior to a front axle (suppress an increase in down force) by generating positive pressure by making traveling air hit against a center air dam and thus can adjust lift balance in the vehicle longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: A lower structure for an automobile includes a front bumper face 4, and a portion from the front bumper face 4 to a portion in the vicinity of a front axle of a front wheel 12 is formed on an underfloor surface that is approximately flattened by an undercover 40. A center air dam 62 projecting downwards is provided at a central portion in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the underfloor surface between the front axle and a front edge of a wheel house 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
