The present invention relates to a cooling tower including a blast fan arranged on an uppermost part; an injection nozzle injecting circulation water; a heat exchange unit arranged in an inner middle part and heat-exchanging the circulation water injected through the injection nozzle with external air; and an eliminator eliminating water droplets contained in external air supplied to cooling water injected through the injection nozzle by the blast fan and discharged after being heat-exchanged. The cooling tower inputs the cooling water of high temperature discharged from an external cooling device into the cooling device after cooling. The present invention provides a plume reduction type cooling tower including: a body with air intakes in a lateral middle part, through which external air flows in; a water tank arranged in an inner lower part of the body and storing the circulation water discharged after being heat-exchanged by the heat exchange unit; a circulation pump supplying the circulation water stored in the water tank to the injection nozzle; and a heat exchange coil arranged in a circulation water discharge passage of the heat exchange unit formed in the inner lower part of the body, arranged at a position of the body lower than the air intakes, and heat-exchanging the cooling water of high temperature discharged from the cooling device with the circulation water while the cooling water circulates. The plume reduction type cooling tower is capable of lowering a difference between a temperature of the air discharged from the cooling tower and the air temperature by adjusting a supply amount of the circulation water to lower a temperature of the cooling tower circulation water when an air temperature outside the cooling tower is low, thus an effect of reducing plumes is obtained. |
