PURPOSE: To enhance the reliability of image quality by applying a cationic resin reacting with an anionic dye in ink to a material to be recorded and emitting ink to the coated material to be from an ink jet recording head to fix cationic resin particles reacted with the ink to the material to be recorded. CONSTITUTION: The surface of a fed material to be recorded is positively or negatively charged in a charge part 2 while cationic resin particles (first resin particles) 7 reacting with an anionic dye in ink are stirred in a coating part 4 and frictionally charged in the gap between a coating roller 6 and a rubber blade 5 to be applied to the material to be recorded in a region I. Subsequently, the charge of the material 1 to be recorded and the first particles 7 is destaticized in a destaticizing part 8. Next, ink droplets 11 are emitted to the material to be recorded from an ink jet recording head 10 in a recording part 9 and reacted with the first resin particles in a region II to be insolubilized. Next, the material to be recorded is sent to a fixing process 12 to fix the resin particles by a heat roller 13-a and a roller 13-b. |
