摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make activity of a platinum alloy catalyst more stable and to prepare the catalyst in a short time by depositing concurrently nitrates as alloy components, i.e., those of platinum, cobalt and chromium, from an aq. soln. on a suspended carbon carrier in their hydroxide forms, thereafter reducing, washing, drying and burning them at a specified temp. SOLUTION: A platinum alloy catalyst contg. ternary platinum alloy composed of alloy components, i.e., platinum, cobalt and chromium, on a conductive carbon carrier is obtained by depositing concurrently nitrates of the alloy components on a suspended carbon carrier in their hydroxide forms. Subsequent to reduction of the deposited hydroxide compds., the product is washed and dried to obtain a catalyst precursor, which is then finally burned at >=800 deg.C. A regular alloy structure appears while the catalyst is cooled at 700-500 deg.C. For the catalyst, the atomic ratio of platinum to other two alloy components, i.e., cobalt and chromium, is selected between 80:20 and 40:60, particularly 60:40 and 40:60.
