PURPOSE: To facilitate the mounting/demounting operation for a roll shaft by installing a shiftable means for shifting an outer cylinder in the axial direction for an inner cylinder, when the tapered outer peripheral part of the inner cylinder which acts the pressurized fluid into an intermediate region is in a contracted diameter state. CONSTITUTION: The inner cylinder 1 of a bearing fixing device is relatively thin and has a nearly cylindrical shape and has an inner hole 20 which is fitted so as to be slidable on a shaft part 9 and has a tapered outer peripheral part 21 on the outer periphery. The outer cylinder 2 is relatively thick and has a nearly cylindrical shape and has a tapered inner hole part 30 fitted on the tapered outer peripheral part 21 of the inner cylinder 1. In the intermediate region 3, the O-rings 40 and 41 are installed through each annular groove in the vicinity of both the end parts of the tapered inner hole part 30 of the outer cylinder 2, A shiftable means 5 operates for the tightening, and a shiftable means 6 operates for loosening. When the pressurized fluid is supplied into a pressure chamber 61, the outer cylinder 2 shifts in the axial direction. When the pressurized fluid is supplied into a pressure chamber 60, the outer cylinder 2 shifts in the axial direction. Accordingly, the mounting/demounting work can be made simple, and the automatic operation of a mounting/demounting device for a chock can be developed. |
