[Also in Division G5] A stylus 22 for marking a stationary photographic film is actuated by the movement of an armature 30 between the poles of four electromagnets 19, 20, 21, 31 to trace repeatedly a Lissajous figure, e.g. line, circle etc., as desired. The magnetic base plate 18 may be adjusted to bring the tip 23 of the. stylus up to the film. In a modification a flexible support rod (200, Fig. 4). is joined to the centre of the upright section 71 of the stylus in order to prevent sideways motion of the stylus due to twisting of its base section 27. |
