[Also in Division F2] A roll adjusting apparatus similar to that of the parent Specification 1,227,051 differs in that the bush 8, 9 which clamps the block 4 against movement relative to the housing 1 normally allows free movement of the block under the influence of pressure devices 5, 6 and is clamped to the block to prevent movement by hydraulic pressure. The bush comprises an outer rigid part 8 with an inner sheath 9. Hydraulic fluid is admitted between the part 8 and the sheath 9 to urge the sheath against the block. A similar arrangement is provided at the other chock 3 of the roll 2. |
