1280849 Centrifugal separators COMBUSTION ENG Inc 29 Dec 1969 [31 Dec 1968] 63128/69 Addition to 1146993 Heading B2P A vapour-liquid centrifugal separator comprises a vertical cylindrical shell having an inlet 58 at its lower end, an outlet 80 at its upper end and vanes 66 adjacent the inlet 58 for imparting a vortical motion to the vapourliquid mixture to be separated, the wall of the shell being perforated and the perforations being arranged in a plurality of longitudinally spaced groups e.g. 74, 76, along the length of the shell, the uppermost group presenting a perforate wall area which is greater than that presented by the lowermost group. A number of such separators may be incorporated in a nuclear operated vapour generator, Fig. I (not shown).
