[Also in Division A5] The invention comprises compounds of formula in which R 1 is H or C 1 -C 5 alkyl, R 2 is C 2 -C 8 alkyl, C 2- C 4 alkenyl, cyclohexyl, or phenyl which may be substituted by C 1 -C 4 alkyl or alkoxy, nitro or halogen and R 3 is C 1 -C 5 alkyl. The compounds of the above formula in which R 1 is H may be prepared by reacting the appropriate m-alkamido phenol with an alkyl isocyanate. Compounds in which R 1 is other than hydrogen may be prepared by known methods. |
