PURPOSE: To obtain an adaptive-processed pickup in which a control loop gain is not influenced by a recording carrier, by adapting the control loop gain to a signal intensity ratio of the recording carrier to consuming power of the pickup. CONSTITUTION: A divider DIV for detecting an IT signal intensity ratio to consuming power of a pickup is provided so as to adapt a recording apparatus and/or a reproducing apparatus to a recording carrier IT. A control loop gain is influenced by the ratio. The IT signal intensity ratio is set by a device INT detecting signals obtained from the IT. A device ATL supplying power to the pickup is connected to the DIV thereby to supply consuming power for the pickup, whereby the IT signal intensity ratio to the power is formed. In the case of an optical IT, the ratio is a standard for a reflectance. The IT detects a quality of the using IT and influences a control circuit in association with the control loop gain. The recording apparatus or reproducing apparatus is thus adapted to the IT. |
