PURPOSE: To attain the speed-up of treatment and the improvement of quality in either mode by preparing both color data and monochromatic data for the same image data. CONSTITUTION: Monochromatic image data inputted from a monochromatic image reader 24 are stored in a monochromatic image buffer 13c; color image data inputted from a color image reader 25 are stored in a color image buffer 13d. Print setting information set up at the time of printing is stored in a print setting buffer 13e. The print setting information has the kinds of ribbons and printing methods. A printer interface 21 controls the output of a printer 20 under the control of CPU 11. When outputted in color, the output is controlled using color image data in the color image buffer 13d, while when outputted in monochrome, the output is controlled using a monochromatic image data in the monochromatic image buffer 13c. |
