1348281 Bearings SKG KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN GmbH 1 July 1971 [9 July 1970] 30936/71 Heading F2A A rolling thrust bearing assembly comprises two bearing discs 3, 4, one 4 of which is radially located with respect to a thrust receiving housing 6 by a member 8 attached coaxially to said disc 4 on the face thereof remote from the rolling elements with the member engaging in a bore 10 in said housing, and resilient means 11 encircling the member and acting between said face and said housing. The resilient means comprise a stack of Belleville washers in groups, the washers in each group being orientated in the same sense and the washers in the next adjacent group being orientated in the opposite sense. In use, the resilient means take up thrust from a shaft 1 and ensure good contact between the rollers 5 and the flange 20. |
