<p>Machine has vertical slot for suspension between wire guides. The slot converges into a forming zone and the layer is sandwiched between parallel guides so that water runs out. The sheet runs on a 3rd and 4th wire guides spaced successively downstream. The 3rd guide has a smooth fixed surface of curvature such that it pushes the 1st guide into parallelism against the 2nd in a curve away from the projection current of the suspension, in a relatively sharp curvature to expel water from the 2nd guide. The 4th guide similarly pushes the 2nd into parallelism against the opposite part of the 1st.</p> |
