The drilling machine for e.g. mineral salt deposits has a frame (1) with a carrier (2) on which is mounted a bearing block (3) for the boring bar (4) and another block attached to it for the following bar. The carriage and other carriages along the frame are advanced by a chain (9) which passes around wheels (10) on the machine. The following bar is firstly supported alongside the first boring bar. When required, it is then swung round to an upper position ready for use, into the boring axis (7). |
