PURPOSE: To provide a copying machine capable of sorting a plurality of set of tab paper tab positions of which are in order shiftedly piled, so that paper sheets of the same tab position are continuously piled up. CONSTITUTION: Tab paper sheets tab positions of which are in order shiftedly piled are made into one group, and a tab paper bundle put on the market in the condition of making a plurality of the groups into one set is received on a paper feed tray so as to set as a paper feed step 13. A tab paper sort mode is designated from an operation part, the tab paper sheets are in order fed from the paper feed tray and in order discharged to respective bins 80 of a sorter C. When the number of fed paper sheets is conformed to the number of sheets of one group of tab paper (circulating number), the discharging bin is returned to the first bin so as to succeedingly discharge in order. This operation is repeated by the number of groups, and the tab paper sheet of the same tab position is discharged from every bin of the sorter C. By collecting the discharged tab paper sheets, the tab paper put on the market can be classified so as to continuously pile the paper sheets of the same tab position. At that time, image forming operation is not carried out. |
