PURPOSE: To prevent the moistening of the power cord connecting part of a body side due to the flow-out of water stored in the recess horizontal surface under a steam diffusing plate to the outside when a top cover of a humidifier is opened. CONSTITUTION: A humidifier has a heating tank disposed inside a sheathing case, a heater provided between the case and the tank, and an openable top cover mounted at the upper end opening of the case via a hinge. The cover 3 has a recess 13 having an upright peripheral walll 13a and an oblique bottom 13b having a steam hole 9, and a banded protrusion 16 erected in an arc state oppositely to the part of the wall 13a of the recess 13, and an air gap formed between the protrusion 16 and the wall 13a. A steam diffusing plate 6 is snugly engaged with the gap by forming the lower protrusion in an arc state at the part disposed at the lower side when the cover 3 is opened to block the hinge of a steam discharge passage. Water droplets stored in the passage is not discharged to the exterior from the diffuser. |
