[Also in Division B4] A trimming tool comprises a blade 11 supported on a holder including a handle support member 15 and hand rest 16, the handle 14 being supported in the support member 15 by interengaging means enabling it to be changed to and from a forward tilted plane position and a rearward extending file position. The handle 14 is connected, via pin 26, screwed rods 18, 19, adjusting nut 20 and pin 27, to the hand rest 16 so that adjusting the nut 20 flexes the holder and blade 11 to a convex, flat or concave shape. To change the position of the handle 14 a lock nut 24 is released, the end of the screwed rod 18 is lifted, with the handle 14, out of a slot 23, the handle reversed, and the rod replaced in the slot 23 again. The interengaging means comprise a V-slot 22 and an extension 21 on the support member 15 and handle 14 respectively, or vice versa. The blade 11 may have straight cutting edges on one side and curved cutting edges on the other and is held on to the holder by self-tapping screws. |
