SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF IGNITION SIGNALS IN AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A system is provided for displaying ignition signals of an internal combustion engine. In one mode, sweep signals are produced in synchronism with the particular recurring characteristics of the ignition signals for the different signals in an internal combustion engine. In a second mode, sweep signals are produced in synchronism with the particular recurring characteristics of such ignition signals until the occurrence of the ignition signal prior to a particular ignition signal which is to be displayed. At such a time a sweep is initiated prior to the occurrence of the particular ignition signal. This sweep is maintained until a time after the occurrence of the particular ignition signal. The particular ignition signal is displayed during this sweep.
