PURPOSE: To eliminate a need of operator's typical operation by defining and executing a typical editing work or the like, which is required in accordance with the page state, as an action program. CONSTITUTION: In the document editing device having a page concept, the data states attending on pages are held as page data 53 in a main storage device, and stored data states are monitored; and when a defined state occurs, an action program 54 is executed to reflect this state at the time of display, print, or the like. Consequently, action programs 54 corresponding to various states of pages are defined and are executed in accordance with the data state brough about in editing and print processings; and thus, typical works for document editing are unnecessary to improve the efficiency of the editing work. |
