PURPOSE: To eliminate the AGC circuit in the reception part of a station device with respect to optical transmission in a PDS system. CONSTITUTION: Subscriber devices A1 to An discriminate approximate distances to a station device 1 by input light from the station device 1 and send the outputs in such output levels that the optical reception part of the station device 1 receives the outputs from subscriber devices Al to An in a certain reception level. Thereafter, the station device 1 sends optical output level control signals for fine adjustment of subscriber devices A1 to An based on these optical output levels. |
