A tubular gasket is employed in a manner to maintain a water-tight joint between adjacent isolated phase bus housings and their associated clamp-on cover and, also, to reduce the magnitude of frictional forces produced during movement of one housing relative to the cover to a level sufficient to protect against buckling of the respective components.
